Soon after losing my wife in 2013, I realised that going on holiday on your own wasn’t much fun and the cost was so much more due single person supplements. I thought there had to be a better way, pay less and holiday with others who just got it.

So in 2016 I organised my first not for-profit holiday to Cyprus for over 20 widows and widowers and more holidays followed. In 2019 I set up embark2 offering not for profit holidays in the UK and abroad exclusively for widows and widowers.

Embark2 is run by widow/ers offering support and friendship when you need it most. Many members have made friends from across the UK after joining us on our holidays and other events. Some find the cost of our holidays so low, that they holiday with us several times a year. Why have one holiday when you can have a few?
